We hate spending money, we hate debt, we hate over spending on
things..... Which means we LOVE garage saling.
What a genius idea to put things you don’t want any more on your lawn
and sell them. We have been married for almost six years and I would guess that
most of the items in our home were either given to us or we bought at a garage
sale. Yes, we do have new things (like underwear) and unfortunately you can’t
find every need and/or want on someone’s lawn but we sure try. We do have jobs
and money but why pay full price when you don’t have too. It allows us to have money for other things
and it’s fun at the same time. We love sharing our crazy garage sale stories/finds
with our friends and family. Most of the
time they look at us in disbelief so we decided to share this awesomeness with
the rest of the world. A lot of people
cringe at the idea of buying used things, let alone used things off of someone’s
lawn at eight in the morning. Most
people would also cringe at the idea of bartering people into selling those
items for less but we thrive off it. It’s
like an adrenaline rush or shot of drugs for us (I am an addiction
counsellor)... maybe we need help?? I would say some of our best times together
have been garage sailing. Now that we
have a 14 month old baby it has brought a new element of garage saling for
us. We have many rules, many tips, many
funny ideas and we want to share them with all of you. We plan to video blog some of our great
moments every Saturday morning and we hope you tune in to watch them. We were going to make the first entry into a
video entry.... but that would require too much effort right now. We have also included a section of weekly garage
sales in our area (Hamilton Ontario) so that you can join in on the fun. Maybe
we will bump into you and you can appear in one of our videos. If we get a demand we can expand it for
different areas. I hope you’re ready
because anything really can happen while we are garage saling and we promise it
